Wellyx Announces Courses: Gyms and Studios Can Sell Multi-Week Programs as a Single Booking

DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, September 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Wellyx, the gym and fitness management software company, has announced Courses, a new module that lets gyms and studios sell a program of scheduled sessions as one offering. Courses will be available from 28th September 2026 and is included in every Wellyx plan at no additional cost. A customer buys the course once and is enrolled in every session, instead of booking each session one by one. Courses work across Wellyx Core, the point of sale, the online booking widget, the customer app, and the staff app.

A course is one purchase, not a dozen bookings

A business creates a course, assigns it to a course category, sets its capacity and price, and schedules its sessions from the Wellyx Core scheduler. Customers then buy it through the booking widget or the member app and are attached to every session on the schedule. When a course reaches its attendee limit, the waitlist opens in place of the booking option, and staff can add customers to the waitlist themselves.

Wellyx keeps the course booking and its individual sessions separate, because changes happen at both levels. Staff can cancel one session, mark one session as a no-show, or cancel the course booking, and they can apply the change to that booking only or to that booking and all future ones.

When plans change, the money follows
The Courses feature adds a Course Cancellation Policy alongside the existing class cancellation policy, set branch by branch. When a booking moves from booked to cancelled or no-show, staff selects the criteria, the reason, and the fee. The fee can be charged immediately or added to the invoice for later. If the customer is still owed money after the fee, the balance can be refunded immediately or adjusted on the invoice. Where a membership benefit was used for the booking, staff decide whether the member keeps it or loses it, so a cancellation does not automatically cost someone a benefit. Branches without a policy simply confirm the change. All of this runs from the Manage Course Attendance screen.

What fitness owners are asking for
The requests Wellyx hears from operators are consistent: gym software that lets members book a six-week program in one go, a waitlist that opens when a course is full, a way to cancel one session without cancelling the whole course, and cancellation fees and refunds handled in the same place as the booking, all without paying for another add-on.
