Community expert Eldarada Searcy, RN, shares assisted living insights alongside local healthcare and senior services professionals
LINDENHURST, IL, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Village at Victory Lakes, a Franciscan community and sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, continues to serve as a trusted resource for older adults and their families throughout the community, recently sharing its expertise in assisted living at a Healthcare Panel Discussion hosted by Antioch Township Senior Services.
Held September 11, the panel brought together professionals representing a broad range of healthcare and senior services, including assisted living, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, legal services, emergency response and other resources that support older adults and their families.
Representing Victory Lakes was Eldarada Searcy, RN, Assisted Living Director at The Village at Victory Lakes, who participated as a community expert and provided insight into assisted living, including the role it can play in supporting older adults while helping them maintain independence, connection and quality of life.
The invitation to participate reflects the role Victory Lakes plays beyond its own campus as a knowledgeable resource for families navigating the many options and decisions that can accompany aging.
“Being part of conversations like this gives us an opportunity to help families better understand the resources available to them and what assisted living can look like when it is centered around the individual,” said Searcy. “Every person has different needs, preferences and goals, and having the right information can make those decisions feel much more manageable.”
The panel also underscored the importance of collaboration among organizations serving older adults. With representatives from multiple areas of healthcare and senior services in one conversation, attendees had the opportunity to learn how different resources can work together to support individuals and families.
For Victory Lakes, that commitment to education and connection extends beyond healthcare discussions. The community regularly brings residents, families, prospective residents and community partners together through educational programs, social gatherings and opportunities to experience the lifestyle firsthand.
